LIQTECH INTERNATIONAL, INC. RECEIVES A USD $660,000 SYSTEM ORDER FOR THE REMOVAL OF HEAVY METALS FOR A MARINE APPLICATION
BALLERUP, DENMARK – March 10th, 2015 – LiqTech International, Inc. (NYSE MKT: LIQT) ("LiqTech") is pleased to announce that the Company has received a USD $660,000 purchase order for two systems based on the company's SiC membranes which is expected to be delivered in the second quarter-2015. These orders are the second and third orders this year from the same customer.
Mr. Sune Mathiesen, LiqTech CEO, remarked, "Earlier this year we announced the first order from this customer. These new orders mark a commercial breakthrough for our products in the treatment of wet scrubber wastewater containing heavy metals in marine applications. Our ceramic membranes offer a unique solution in removing heavy metals from wastewater. This solution is able to process large volumes of water and offers lower operating and capital expenses compared to other technologies. Over the past 6 months we have been promoting our systems for this application on-shore and off-shore. We are starting to see results from our efforts and we will continue to intensify our sales efforts in this environmentally important application."
"The customer and LiqTech have entered into a supply agreement for future installations of LiqTech SiC membrane systems for exhaust gas cleaning systems.
